I support heart-centered clients in creating changes in their lives and generating greater positive impact in the world. Whether it be shifting your relationship with yourself (around your habits or beliefs), at work, in relationships, my role is to support you in being the change you seek. 

I am certified as an ontological life coach from the International Coaching Federation. Ontology is the study of who you are BEING. As an ontological life coach, my role is to partner with my clients, to ask bold and powerful questions, to generate awareness, and to offer accountability and action plans as access to transformation.

While awareness is a key ingredient to creating change, awareness alone is not enough. As your coach, I am committed to supporting you in generating weekly practices to help you gain momentum toward your goals and manifest your visions. Each week we will check in around your action plans to help you stay focused. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Let me hold you by the hand and support you in breaking your visions into baby steps that will ultimately lead you to your desired results.

Cultivates awareness

You can’t transform anything that you don’t have awareness about. Cultivating awareness is a key ingredient to change. Awareness supports clients in creating a choice point to do something different. Many of us are operating from automatic behavior that no longer serves us and we might not even be aware of the ways we are blocking ourselves, self sabotaging, or getting stuck from achieving our visions. Coaching first and foremost is the business of cultivating awareness through a powerful dialogue and reflection.

What can I expect from coaching?

A non-judgmental, safe and loving space to process your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and desires

One hour meeting once a week 

Spot coaching between weekly meetings: Did you know you actually have access to your coach as you move through the world? You can reach out to your coach when you need support between sessions or when you want to share a win. Coaching is a relationship and a partnership. 

Weekly action plans to support your progress

Discomfort—sometimes growing is uncomfortable. Expect to be challenged and to come up against resistance.

Results! While results are not guaranteed (because after all you have to be the one to generate them), if you come to coaching, generate awareness, action, and follow-through, you will see change in your life. Think about hiring a personal trainer: A trainer does not do the push ups for you. You are the only one who can actually transform your life. Just as the trainer supports you, counts your push ups, cheers you on, and pushes you—that's my job.

 

How is coaching different from therapy or consulting?

While therapy is primarily focused on healing from the past and processing the past, coaching is a present and future-based conversation. Coaching is about where you are headed next and how to get there. Many people choose to work with both therapists and coaches at the same time.

A consultant is hired to solve a problem for you and share their expertise. A coach does not position themselves as the expert on your life but rather holds it that you are the expert on your life and the answers are inside of you. A coach's job is not to give advice, tell you what you “should” do,  or train you but rather to trust that the answers you seek are inside of you. A coach's job is to partner with you to clarify your inner wisdom, desires, and needs.
